WHY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Bentonite clay has a unique structure: its atomic planes form layers that, in turn, create sheets. This layered structure is crucial because it gives the clay its three main recognized properties:
- • Absorptive power: It has an amazing ability to absorb inflammatory fluids from the tissue (muscle and tendon inflammation) as well as secretions from wounds.
- • Strong adsorption capacity: It attracts toxins and microbes. Adsorption is a physicochemical phenomenon where bentonite clay, charged with positive ions, exchanges them with ions from another environment. It acts like a magnet, absorbing and fixing many toxins while releasing beneficial minerals.
- • Remarkable astringent properties: It tightens tissues through its contraction action. It stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation.
